No Detergent October 4, 2009 DianeZee (New York City) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is a great shampoo with a lovely scent. I tend to try a lot of shampoos and end up going back to Shampure all the time. It's one of the few shampoos that doesn't seem to strip my hair. And the conditioner is great as well. I have very thick and wavy hair, about mid-length, and when I use this shampoo, my hair always feels and smells wonderful. However, the most important reason that I keep buying Aveda Shampure is because it has no detergent in it. If you have itching after you shampoo, you might be allergic to the sodium laureth sulfate which is a detergent ingredient in all shampoos. Organic shampoos usually don't have this ingredient but always read the label to make sure. Your itching will go away once you get rid of the sodium laureth sulfate. Some other organic shampoos that don't have this ingredient are Kiss My Face, Jason and EO.
Shampoo is shampoo September 12, 2009 GrammaGayle (los angeles, ca) This is OK Shampoo, I didn't find it to be any better than any other. The smell is OK too, though not my favorite.
The Best Everyday Shampoo October 31, 2008 Lindsey A. Lawton (Indianapolis, IN USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I use this shampoo every single time I wash my hair (which isn't necessarily daily... I normally wash my hair every other day to keep it from drying out). I have shoulder-length fine, thin, straight-as-a-pin hair and this shampoo works great for me. I love the fresh, organic scent and the nice lather it produces (some of Aveda's shampoos don't produce much of a lather, which is okay, but I prefer a soapy lather!). There's just something so UNoffensive about this shampoo... no strong scent, no gimmicks... just a lovely, fresh, clean shampoo.
Great Product - Bad Prices June 20, 2008 Robert Hearne (Denver, CO USA) 11 out of 13 found this review helpful
I personally love all the Aveda products and highly recommend any of them. But save your money and go directly to Aveda's website. Buy it from them and you'll definitely spend a lot less (and they offer free shipping for $50+ orders). Or save on the shipping altogther and find an Aveda salon in your local area and buy it from them. There's a locator guide on their website. They typically charge the same as the corporate website.
